Mixed models contain both fixed effects, analogous to regression coefficients, and random effects that vary across clusters. Participants will learn to use these models to answer research questions about observation- and cluster-level data and disaggregate these effects. Theory, estimation, model building, and diagnostics are demonstrated through many examples.
